A proud Vietnamese American creative living
in Austin, Texas

Growing up, food was at the core of so many cherished memories: lively conversations held around the dinner table, learning how to fold egg rolls from my grandma, family trips planned solely based on restaurants we wanted to try, etc. I was that 13-year-old kid sitting at the sushi bar of a Michelin-starred omakase restaurant because 1) I learned to appreciate the artistry, skill, and self-expression from chefs at a young age and 2) I just *really* love to eat good food.

Food is how I connect with my culture, friends, family and even strangers. Over the years, I always found myself going back to food — it’s why I forged a career path in telling & sharing food stories. For 5+ years, I’ve built out and executed 360 cross-channel marketing campaigns for food & beverage companies. Most recently, I’ve been flexing my muscles as a freelance marketing consultant advising DTC growth-stage startups on brand strategy and how to scale. In 2019, I co-founded Gan Bei Gals as a platform to celebrate shared cultural experiences and explore Asian American third-culture identity through food events and art.

When I'm not staring at screens, catch me scouring FB Marketplace for a secondhand deal, cooking and hosting a dinner, or picnic-ing with my dog Willy.

thanks for being here!
